Welcome to Carolina Consortium!

The Carolina Consortium enables libraries in North and South Carolina to use their bulk purchasing power to obtain favorable pricing on a variety of electronic resources and services.

Carolina Consortium Membership

As of 2024, the Carolina Consortium includes over 170 public libraries, seminary schools, community colleges, public universities, and private institutions of higher learning. Membership in the Carolina Consortium is currently free. Members can participate in as many or as few deals as makes sense for their library. 

The consortia's many deals save members, combined millions of dollars, to help stretch collection budgets. Consortia leadership and staff continuing review and negotiate new deals for members as needs grow and change.
